Start SubmissionJournal of South Asian Logistics and Transport (JSALT) is a peer-reviewed bi-annual English language journal published by the Sri Lanka Society of Transport and Logistics (SLSTL). It provides a space in which finding of original research, particularly focusing on the South Asian context, including those presented at the annual conference on Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) organised by the SLSTL. In addition to research articles, the Journal accepts manuscripts of policy and strategic perspectives.
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Articles are accepted in English language.
All submissions should be made electronically as Microsoft Word documents, to the Email address: submission-jsalt@slstl.lk. The Editorial Office will duly acknowledge authors on receipt of a duly submitted manuscript.
Manuscripts submitted will be subject to rigorous and independent double blind expert review process administered by the Journal’s Editorial Board, and the authors will be contacted after the review process is complete. The process generally takes from two to three months. The Editorial Board’s decision regarding publication of an article will be final.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Abstract
Abstract can be used as a basic template in structuring the prospective article. A representative abstract of not more than 200 words should be submitted by the deadline.
Key Words
Authors should submit a maximum of six unique and informative key words relating to the manuscript. Undefined abbreviations or acronyms should be avoided in the keywords. Editorial Board reserves the right to replace key words if necessary.
Format
Main headings and sub-heading also shall be with the same format but with bold letters. Moreover, the main headings and sub-headings should be numbered in the same format adopted in this paper. The paper margins should be 1” for the top margin, 1” for left and right margins, and 0.8” for the bottom margin.
Equations
Equations should be indented and separated from the text. All equations should be numbered within brackets sequentially and the number should be placed at the far-right side of the line.
Tables
Tables should be fitted into the body area in 10 pt portrait orientation. Each Table should be sequentially numbered, and the caption should be located on top of the Table. The font size of the caption should be not less than 11 pt.
Figures
Figures and photographs should be fitted into the body area in portrait orientation. Photographs should be preferably scanned with a resolution of 100 dpi in .jpg or .tif format and sized before placement in the manuscript. Each figure should be sequentially numbered, and caption should be located below the Figure. The font size of the caption should be not less than 11 pt. All figures should be in sharp contrasting colours so that it can easily be legible even in black and white prints.
References
This comprises a list of all sources used in the paper located at the end of the paper using IEEE referencing style. They should contain full bibliographical details in numerical order at the end of the manuscript. In the reference list, all authors should be included. (Times New Roman, 11pt, full aligned).
Appendices
Sometimes appendices help readers to further study the issue presented. Submit appendices separately after attaching tables and figures. If more than one appendix is featured, use capital letters to refer to them in the text: Appendix A, Appendix B, etc. Follow guidelines for tables or figures, as appropriate, when formatting appendices.
